04 · What we plan to build

A network of sites

Planned capacity of 2–10 MW per site, using standard modules. Grid access and leases are secured individually to support predictable delivery.

Our approach

Many small sites instead of one large campus

Rather than a single large project, we develop a network of independent facilities. Each site is assessed, financed and leased individually — which keeps progress independent of any single permit.

Site interconnection and shared scheduling follow customer needs for inference and enterprise computing.

Ground-mounted photovoltaic installation

Conventional approach

Common
  • One 100 MW campus
  • One large grid connection request
  • Progress depends on a single location
  • Concentrated construction and financing
  • Serves large, concentrated workloads

Our approach

Sunbeam NewPower
  • Ten 10 MW sites
  • Verify grid capacity and timing at each site
  • Multiple locations diversify site risk
  • Invest per site, contract before construction
  • Serve enterprises, AI labs and mid-sized clouds

The first site requires land rights, a grid solution and an anchor lease before construction.

Site components

Four layers make a deliverable megawatt

L1

Solar generation

Use existing PV and expand gradually to reduce purchased power costs.

Lower average power cost
L2

Battery storage

Peak shifting and short-duration backup, sized to the load profile.

Greater flexibility
L3

Grid connection

Confirm import capacity and energisation dates, design for continuity and redundancy.

The scarcest layer
L4

AI-ready halls

Prefabricated halls, liquid cooling, dense racks, multi-carrier fibre and security zones.

A leasable product

Grid supply, backup power and operations sustain continuous running. PV and storage follow site conditions.

Replication

A 320 MW platform, built in 2–10 MW sites

Five repeatable building blocks make each additional site faster and more predictable than the last.

  • Power modulePV, storage and grid connection as a repeatable unit
  • Prefab hallsFactory-built, with a defined delivery schedule
  • Cooling and racksStandard cooling and racks, validated per site
  • Permit templatesTemplates for grid applications, planning and fire safety
  • Shared operationsOne monitoring centre and common remote operations
Solar layer · German PV build cost€0.65Mper MW
Data centre layer · Excluding GPUs€5.5Mper MW

PV reduces purchased power exposure. Supply agreements set lease-period tariffs.

Energy project delivery experience provides the starting point.

Validate grid access, design and operations at the first site, then replicate proven solutions.

Existing resources

Existing PV and customers provide a development base

Existing PV equipment of 15 MW and 2,100 customers provide potential for storage, maintenance and aggregation. Operable scale depends on ownership, customer consent and equipment suitability.

Storage aggregation

  • Verify batteries and customer consent
  • Assess aggregable capacity
  • Establish trading partnerships

Flexible heat-pump loads

Assess controllability and customer needs to develop shiftable thermal demand.

§ 14a EnWG

Eligible customers can receive grid-fee reductions. Service income follows contracts.

Long-term maintenance

  • Provide monitoring and maintenance
  • Secure warranty and service contracts
  • Build recurring revenue
Next steps
Review equipment and customer contracts, then validate service economics. Develop these services alongside new sites to build recurring cash flow.
